Car Rentals uses a dark navy base with Mantine Blue (#1971C2) as the primary action accent, complemented by a warm gold (#E8A908) for premium tier highlights. All AI surfaces retain distinct purple. Safety-critical states use red. The component library mirrors Mantine UI patterns — article cards, banners, badges, and form controls.

Car Rentals is a multi-sided marketplace connecting renters, fleet owners, and professional chauffeurs under one intelligent platform. Customers book vehicles in seconds; fleet owners manage listings and earnings; admins oversee everything from a powerful dashboard.

Core vehicle search and account creation are free. Instant booking, chauffeur service, airport transfers, and multi-currency payouts are Premium. Fleet Pro unlocks advanced analytics, multi-vehicle management, and priority listing placement.

Registration, Social Login & Identity Verification

New users sign up via email/phone or one-tap social login (Google, Apple, Facebook). International traveler onboarding is frictionless — choose country, currency, and language on first launch. KYC (Driver's License + National ID) is required before the first booking.

The home screen opens with a smart search bar (location, pick-up date, return date). Category chips filter by vehicle type. Results render as Mantine-style article cards with gradient image headers, vehicle specs, star ratings, and price per day. A map toggle switches to a pin-based map view.

Vehicle Detail Page & Real-Time Calendar

The detail screen shows a large vehicle image, full specifications, host/fleet-owner profile card, and pricing table (daily / weekly / monthly). The availability calendar shows booked dates in red, available in white, selected range in blue. Users can toggle between Instant Book and Request-to-Book.

Pricing Model

• Daily rate — short-term rentals (1–6 days)
• Weekly rate — discounted for 7+ day rentals (typically −15 to −25%)
• Monthly rate — long-term hire discount (typically −30 to −40%)
• Chauffeur surcharge — added on top of base vehicle rate per day
• Airport pickup/drop-off — fixed fee by distance zone
• Security deposit — held via payment gateway, released on vehicle return

Checkout, Multi-Currency & Integrated Gateways

The checkout screen shows a full trip summary, add-ons, promo code field, and real-time total. Users select currency (NGN, USD, GBP, EUR, etc.) and choose a payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave, Paystack). Saved cards appear for repeat customers. Booking confirmation fires a push notification, SMS, and email.

My Trips, Profile & Saved Payment Methods

The My Trips screen shows active, upcoming, and past rentals in tabbed cards. Each booking card surfaces the vehicle name, dates, status badge, and quick actions (Extend, Cancel, Report Issue, Chat). The profile screen shows KYC status, saved payment methods, referral code, and earned rewards.

Notifications Centre

All booking events, payments, and reminders appear as notification items. Unread items carry a blue dot.

In-App Chat & Support System

Renters and fleet owners communicate directly via real-time in-app chat, attached to each booking. A dedicated Support tab connects users to the Car Rentals support team. Pre-booking enquiries, post-booking issues, and damage reports are all handled in-chat with photo and document attachments.

Fleet Management & Vehicle Listings

Fleet owners list vehicles with photos, specs, pricing tiers, and availability rules. A calendar-based availability manager lets owners block dates, set dynamic pricing, and manage multiple vehicles from one dashboard. Earnings, upcoming bookings, and vehicle performance are surfaced on the host analytics screen.

Reviews, Ratings & Referral Programme

After each completed trip, both renter and host leave star ratings and written reviews. A verified "completed booking" badge prevents fake reviews. Promo codes are generated by admins or auto-issued via the referral programme, tracking attribution and preventing abuse via one-use tokens.

Trust & Growth System

• Reviews only unlocked after trip completion — prevents fake or unverified feedback
• Both renter and host rate each other; mutual review system builds bilateral trust
• Rating breakdown bars visible on vehicle detail page; aggregate score affects search ranking
• Referral programme: each signup via link credits both referrer (₦500) and new user (₦500)
• Admin-issued promo codes — single-use tokens with expiry, minimum spend, and category restrictions
• Promo abuse prevention: one promo per booking, no stacking, device + account fingerprinting
• Credit balance visible in checkout flow, auto-applied or manually toggled by user

Google Maps Integration & GPS Services

Location is central to the rental experience: searching vehicles by proximity, routing to pickup point, tracking active rental location (for fleet owners), and airport zone detection for automatic pickup fee application. Maps display vehicle pins, airport markers, and user location in real time.
